What To Expect

Visiting a new church can bring a lot of questions, and we want your experience to be as comfortable as possible. Here's what you can expect when you join us at Harrison Rd. Church of Christ as we gather to worship God, study His Word, and encourage one another in Christ.

A Warm Welcome

From the moment you arrive, you'll be greeted by friendly faces and a congregation that genuinely cares. Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning after many years, you'll be welcomed as our honored guest.

Biblical Teaching

Everything we do is centered on God's Word. Our sermons, Bible classes, and studies are rooted in Scripture with the goal of helping every person know Christ and grow in their faith. For those visiting outside the Church of Christ, we might cover or teach doctrine that is different than what you've heard before but we are always willing to talk about it and give scriptural examples!

Simple Worship

Our worship is focused on honoring God according to the pattern revealed in the New Testament. Through prayer, singing, the Lord's Supper, giving, and biblical preaching, we strive to worship in spirit and in truth.

What Do We Believe In?

The Ultimate Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith, worship, and Christian living. Where the Bible speaks, we speak; where the Bible is silent, we are silent.

The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit

We believe in the one true God. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ, God offers salvation, forgiveness, and eternal fellowship to all who come to Him in faithful obedience.

The Gospel of Salvation

We believe the gospel is God's power to save all who believe. Scripture reveals a clear response to the good news through faith, repentance, confession of Christ, baptism, and a life of faithful service to Him.

The New Testament Church

We believe Christ established His church in the first century and continues to reign as the one Head of one body. We follow the pattern seen in the NT and we proudly wear the name "church of Christ" as found in Romans 16:16.

Our Responsibility

We believe every Christian has been called to share the hope of the gospel. Having received God's grace, we are committed to making disciples, strengthening believers, and proclaiming Christ to the world.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a member to attend?

No.

Everyone is welcome to attend our worship services, Bible classes, and special events. If you would like to place membership, we can talk with you about that but membership is never required to visit or participate.

Do I have to give money?

No.

Giving is an act of worship for the members of the congregation, not an obligation for our guests. Your presence is far more important to us than your wallet.

What happens during your worship services?

Our worship is centered on the pattern found in the New Testament. We sing praises to God using only our voices, pray together, partake of the Lord's Supper each Sunday, give as members have prospered, and hear a lesson from God's Word.

Do you offer Bible classes?

Yes!

Every Sunday we continue our verse-by-verse study of the New Testament and Wednesday we are covering the subject of Zeal. We also have teachers who would be more than willing to have your children in our 10:00-11:00am children's Bible-Study while we partake in our adult Bible-Study.

Will I be singled out as a visitor?

We will most certainly talk to you and introduce ourselves because we are grateful for every visitor. However, you will never be asked to stand before anyone, introduce yourself to a crowd, or do anything else of that nature that makes you uncomfortable.

We simply hope you'll feel welcomed and encouraged.

Can I ask Questions?

Yes!

During our Bible-Studies feel free to ask questions. Our teachers will ask frequently if anyone would like to ask any questions or add comments.

If you have any questions about the sermon or lesson that was preached, feel free to ask us after services!
